SUCCESS STORIES

We value our patients kind words and thoughts.

posted on: 6/16/2011 On February 10, 2011 I had a spinal surgery performed by Dr. Stanford Tack.  For at least one year prior to the srgery, I had severe pain in my back including numbness in my legs.  Since my surgery was performed, I no longer experience any pain in my back or legs.

posted on: 5/26/2011 I sought treatment from Dr. Stanford Tack in early 2010 for long term, persistent and severe pain in my neck, shoulder, and right arm that had greatly affected my quality of life.  A MRI determined I had a C5-6 herniation for which Dr. Tack prescribe non-invasive treatment including corticosteroid shots, anti-inflammatories, physical therapy and gentle manipulation by a chiropractor.  After many months of treatment without pain relief, I was offered the option of artificial disc replacement using a Prestige cervical disc replacement- in lieu of fusion surgery.  I underwent surgery in December 2010, and upon waking could immediately tell my pain was gone!  I was released from the hospital five hours after the surgery and found after three days could tolerate post-surgery discomfort with over-the-counter medications.  I returned to the gym two weeks after surgery and work as s preschool teacher in less than three weeks.  I am thrilled with my decision to opt for the Prestige disc replacement.  I have full range of motion and have my quality of life back.

posted on: 5/16/2011 On Oct. 28th, 2010 I suffered a burst fracture of the L2 vertebrae. At that time, I could have chose to be treated by any number of surgeons, at any of the big name hospitals including the Mayo Clinic. Based of a number of factors including a post diagnostic meeting with Dr. Stanford Tack, I chose IBJI surgeons to do the work. I have been overwhelmingly pleased with the procedure, results and post operative care. There is no doubt in my mind that Dr. Tack and the IBJI staff are truly “world class”, and I can recommend then without qualification for any orthopedic issue.

posted on: 5/12/2011 I recently had shoulder surgery, November 29th.  I want to say thank you to all the staff.  Everyone is friendly, nice, compassionate and professional.  You are making my recovery the best I could ever have.  Thank you, I am very grateful!

posted on: 5/12/2011 I would like to comment on the excellent treatment I have received from Dr. Peter Hoepfner. I fell from a ladder at work back in April, and he was the orthopaedic on call for the hospital. He helped straighten my wrist, and told me to schedule an appointment later that week. I had never had surgery before and didn’t know much about surgeons, but after doing a little research I discovered how lucky I was to have found him.

posted on: 5/12/2011 I suffered for 20 years with a bad knee. Finally I twisted it so bad; I had to do something with it. I was sent to IBJI and it was the best decision I ever made. My knee is now perfect, I walk my dog many miles every day, plus snowmobile hundreds each winter.

posted on: 5/12/2011 My left knee replacement was performed by Dr. Thadani (Dr. Awesome) and it only took seven weeks for recovery and rehab.  Both I and my wife, Nancy, have had Dr. Vora for foot and ankle procedures and think he is the best!

posted on: 5/12/2011 I have been a patient of Illinois Bone & Joint for 10 years and started seeing Dr. Peter Thadani approximately 2 years ago.  He is very caring doctor and the best at giving injections (never felt any pain) which was a new experience for me.

posted on: 5/12/2011 The surgeons are extremely knowledgeable and skillful.  They made difficult surgeries seem routine.  And despite their workload, they answered all my questions and never made me fell rushed.

posted on: 1/30/2009 One day while golfing, Tim tore cartilage in his right knee, shortly after recovering from a similar injury to his left knee. Not long after, arthritis began causing pain in both knees and affected his ability to walk. In September 2008, IBJI’s Dr. Peter Thadani performed replacement surgery on both knees. The next day, Tim walked down the hall. “The care was marvelous, nothing but the best,” he says. Now working with IBJI physical therapists Wendy Alling and Tara Banick, he expects to tee it up again by springtime.
